Your Wellness Visit: What to Expect at Our Tomball Clinic
Walking into a new place with a body that hurts takes a little courage. So before you ever book anything with us, we want you to know exactly what happens when you come in, who we help, and why we do things in the order we do.
Lorenz Total Wellness is a wellness clinic in Tomball, Texas, and we work with people from Tomball, Spring, Cypress, Klein, The Woodlands, and northwest Houston. Our signature approach is Synergy Release Therapy, a hands-on method focused on balancing the skeletal and muscular systems so the tension that drives your pain can finally let go. Everything on this page sits under one simple idea: understand the body first, then work on it. You can always head back to our homepage home page for the full picture of who we are.
What a first visit looks like
Your first visit starts with a conversation, not a table. We ask where it hurts, how long it has been going on, what makes it better or worse, and what you have already tried. Then we look at how your whole body is standing, moving, and compensating. Pain in one spot is often being produced somewhere else, and you cannot see that without looking at everything.
That is why every new client begins with our free full-body assessment free full-body assessment. It costs nothing, there is no obligation, and you leave understanding your own body better than when you walked in. We check posture, balance, and how your muscles and joints are working together, then we explain what we found in plain English. If we think we can help, we tell you what a plan would look like. If we do not think we are the right fit, we tell you that too.
Who we help
Most people who find us have been living with something for a while. A shoulder that never quite settled down. A low back that flares every few weeks. Hips that feel crooked, a neck that is tight by lunch, or that general worn-down feeling that comes from years of favoring one side. We see office workers, athletes, tradespeople, new moms, and retirees. Some come in after trying plenty of other things. Others just want to move better and stay ahead of problems.
You do not need a referral, and you do not need a diagnosis to walk in the door. We are a non-medical wellness clinic, so we are not treating disease. We are working on the muscle tension and skeletal imbalance that so often sit underneath everyday aches.
Why the assessment comes first
Here is the honest reason: working on the wrong spot wastes your time and money. If your right hip is pulling your pelvis out of balance, rubbing your sore left lower back feels nice for a day and changes nothing. The assessment tells us which muscles are creating the problem and which ones are just complaining about it. Then every session that follows has a target.
What happens after the assessment
Once we know what your body is doing, we build your visits from a few core services.
Therapeutic massage is focused, purposeful bodywork. This is not a spa rubdown with candles and forty minutes of the same stroke. Your therapist works the specific muscles the assessment pointed to, releasing tension where it actually starts.
guided stretch therapy Guided stretch therapy is one-on-one assisted stretching, where a trained practitioner moves you through stretches you could never do well on your own. It restores range of motion, eases stiffness, and helps the work from your massage sessions hold.
Many clients use a blend of both, and your plan shifts as your body changes. We reassess as we go, so you always know what progress looks like.
Practical details

Frequently asked questions
What should I wear to my first visit? Comfortable clothes you can move in. Athletic wear is perfect. We need to watch you stand, bend, and walk, so anything stiff or restrictive gets in the way.
Is the free assessment really free? Yes, completely. No card on file, no pressure at the end. It is how we decide together whether we can help you.
How many sessions will I need? It depends on what we find and how long the problem has been building. After your assessment we give you a straight answer with a recommended plan, and we adjust as your body responds.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card? Yes, we accept both. We are self-pay otherwise, so there are no insurance forms or approval delays.
Do I need anything from a doctor before coming in? No. We are a non-medical wellness clinic, so no referral or prescription is required. You can book directly.
Is the work painful? Some spots are tender when tension releases, but you are in control the whole time. Your therapist works with you, not on top of you.
